LAHORE: SBP and LCCI are launching a QR code payment revolution — chamber members will soon settle fees cashless with a single scan, turbocharging Pakistan’s digital payments drive. The pact was sealed in a high-stakes meeting between SBP Chief Manager Tariq Riaz and LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol. Saigol hammered exporter pain points: slow export refinance, endless document checks, sky-high mark-up rates, and killer collateral rules that choke SMEs, trigger order cancellations, and slash profits. He demanded non-stop SBP-private sector dialogue so policies stop living in ivory towers and start fixing real-world chaos.
