ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has officially capped meritorious rewards for Inland Revenue officials at 24 salaries per financial year per employee, formalised through S.R.O. 2485(I)/2025 amending the Inland Revenue Reward Rules, 2021. Last month’s unanimous approval raised the ceiling from 18 to 24 salaries under Rule 6. FBR also rolled out a new evaluation system for ex-cadre officers and staff. Customs side stays untouched — 2012 Rules already permit up to 36 months’ basic salary.
