The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced the advance schedule for its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meetings for the first half of 2025.
According to the timeline, four meetings are planned between January and June. The first is set for January 27, followed by March 10, May 5, and June 16. All meetings are scheduled on Mondays.
In the latest MPC meeting on December 16, 2024, the SBP reduced the policy rate by 200 basis points to 13%. This was the fifth consecutive cut since June 2024, when the rate stood at 22%.
