Ogra Increases RLNG Prices For February 2026

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has announced an increase of up to 0.59% in the price of re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) for February 2026, attributing the adjustment to a slight uptick in terminal handling charges.

In a notification issued on Friday, the regulator stated that RLNG tariffs for consumers of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) have been raised by 0.53%, while customers of Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGCL) will see a 0.59% increase compared to rates applicable in January.

For SNGPL, the new distribution price has been fixed at $11.3345 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), slightly higher than January’s $11.2743. In the case of SSGCL, the revised distribution rate stands at $10.27 per MMBtu, up from the previous $10.21.

Ogra clarified that the updated pricing structure includes terminal service charges, transmission and distribution expenditures, port-related handling costs, and margins allocated to Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the government-owned LNG importing entity.

The weighted average sale price was determined based on eight LNG cargoes brought into the country by PSO under its long-term supply arrangements with Qatar. Of these shipments, four were secured at a comparatively higher pricing slope, while the remaining four were obtained at a lower slope.

At present, RLNG contributes roughly 19% to Pakistan’s overall energy mix and plays a crucial role in compensating for domestic natural gas shortages. However, official projections suggest that dependence on RLNG is likely to gradually decrease by 2035.

RLNG tariffs are revised on a monthly basis, taking into account international LNG price benchmarks, currency exchange rate movements and infrastructure-associated expenses.
