Bank of Khyber Injects Rs1 Billion Capital

Bank of Khyber has injected Rs1 billion into its wholly owned subsidiary, BOK Currency Exchange Company (Pvt) Limited, with shareholders formally approving and ratifying the capital enhancement during the bank’s 35th Annual General Meeting held on March 30, 2026.

The capital injection was undertaken in compliance with the regulatory requirements prescribed under the framework governing exchange companies and had previously received approval from the Board of Directors. The primary objective of the transaction is to reinforce the subsidiary’s capital adequacy and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory standards.

In addition, shareholders approved the audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, along with the accompanying directors’ and auditors’ reports.

The AGM also ratified the reappointment of PwC A.F. Ferguson & Co. as external auditors for the financial year 2026, with an approved increase of 10% in audit fees.

Furthermore, shareholders sanctioned a final cash dividend of Rs1.70 per share, bringing the total annual dividend to Rs3.20 per share, inclusive of an interim dividend of Rs1.50 already distributed.

These resolutions were disclosed in accordance with regulatory obligations to ensure transparency and timely dissemination of material information to investors and the market.
