K-Electric Appoints Shaheryar Chishty as Chairman

K-Electric has appointed Shaheryar Chishty as Chairman of its Board of Directors following a board meeting convened on April 15, 2026.

The appointment follows the election of directors at the company’s Extraordinary General Meeting held on April 2, 2026. As per a formal notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors approved the appointment during its most recent session and has duly informed the exchange for onward notification to TRE certificate holders.

This development comes in the context of recent leadership transitions within the company, including the resignation of former Chief Executive Officer Moonis Alvi.

Subsequent to Mr. Alvi’s resignation in February, Adeeb Ahmad was appointed as interim Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect, ensuring continuity in executive management.
