PRA Revenue Crosses Rs250 Billion Mark

The Punjab Revenue Authority has reported cumulative revenue collections exceeding Rs250 billion during the first nine months of FY2025–26, compared to Rs181 billion in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal year, reflecting an increase of approximately Rs70 billion.

According to an official spokesperson, monthly collections for March alone surpassed Rs30 billion, compared to Rs22.4 billion recorded in March of the prior fiscal year, representing a year-on-year growth of 33%.

The authority has attributed this improved performance to strengthened enforcement mechanisms and enhanced administrative measures implemented during the current fiscal cycle.

Officials further indicated that the operationalisation of the Large Taxpayer Unit has played a significant role in boosting revenue collection by improving compliance levels among high-value taxpayers.

The management of the PRA has directed its operational teams to sustain enforcement efforts and administrative efficiency in order to achieve the authority’s annual revenue targets.
