AGP Approves Expansion, Pharma Deals, and Growth Strategy

The board of AGP Limited has sanctioned a series of strategic initiatives, including new pharmaceutical manufacturing and marketing collaborations, while granting approval to actively pursue potential acquisitions and investment opportunities.

During its meeting held on April 29, 2026, the board authorised management to explore expansion avenues such as mergers, investments, and business integrations. In parallel, the company will evaluate strategies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and generating synergies across its core operations and affiliated entities.

As part of this initiative, AGP will undertake detailed feasibility studies, commercial assessments, and valuation analyses prior to submitting any proposals for formal board approval. The company has also been permitted to engage legal, financial, and other professional advisors to facilitate these strategic activities.

In a separate decision, the board approved an agreement with an associated entity whereby AGP will deliver contract marketing services for the pharmaceutical product “Xanax.” Under this arrangement, AGP will secure marketing rights within Pakistan, with the product’s launch targeted for May 2026, subject to regulatory clearances and contractual completion.

Additionally, the board approved a collaboration with STADA, enabling AGP to obtain marketing and distribution rights for the “Oilatum®” skincare portfolio in Pakistan. The product line is expected to enter the domestic market in May 2026 following the fulfilment of all necessary approvals.

Further, AGP has authorised an arrangement to undertake both contract manufacturing and marketing responsibilities for the pharmaceutical product “Viagra.” Under this agreement, the company will act as the contract manufacturing organisation while also holding marketing rights in Pakistan, with a planned rollout in May 2026.

The company noted that all agreements are currently in the process of finalisation and remain contingent upon the completion of requisite regulatory and contractual formalities.
