Faysal Bank Reappoints Yousaf Hussain as CEO Again

Faysal Bank Limited has approved the reappointment of Yousaf Hussain as President and Chief Executive Officer for an additional three-year tenure, according to a corporate disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Friday.

The bank stated that its Board of Directors authorised the reappointment during a board meeting convened on May 12, 2026.

As per the official notification, the renewed term of office will take effect from August 15, 2026.

The disclosure issued by the bank noted that the Board of Directors had formally resolved to extend Yousaf Hussain’s appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of Faysal Bank Limited for a further three-year period commencing from the stated effective date.

According to information available on the bank’s official platform, Yousaf Hussain possesses more than thirty years of professional experience within the banking and financial services sector and has previously held senior executive positions at ABN AMRO, Samba Bank, Mashreq Bank, and Mobilink.

He joined Faysal Bank in 2008 and is widely recognised for overseeing the institution’s strategic transition from a conventional banking model to a fully Islamic banking structure.

During his tenure, the bank introduced multiple Islamic banking products and implemented technology-driven operational reforms aimed at enhancing customer experience, service delivery standards, and institutional efficiency.

Yousaf Hussain holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialisation in telecommunications, in addition to an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
