FBR Orders Tax Offices Open on Weekend Days

The Federal Board of Revenue has instructed all field formations nationwide to remain operational on Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24, in order to facilitate taxpayers and ensure uninterrupted collection and processing of government duties and tax revenues.

According to the FBR directive, all Large Taxpayers’ Offices, Medium Taxpayers’ Offices, Corporate Tax Offices, and Regional Tax Offices throughout the country will observe both dates as regular working days.

The revenue authority stated that the administrative measure has been implemented to assist taxpayers in timely payment, filing, and processing of taxes and statutory duties while supporting revenue collection operations.
