On the other hand certain fields like Mamikhel South Sono and Bettani saw an increase in production during this time
Gas output also decreased at major fields including Mari Qadirpur Sui Sharf Kandhkot Nashpa and Sutiari Deep Quarter on quarter oil production saw a 12 percent year on year decline while gas output dropped by 7 percent in Q2 of the fiscal year
Exploration efforts during FY25 first half were underwhelming with only 11 exploratory wells and 15 appraisal or development wells drilled far behind the targets of 27 and 40 respectively
Nevertheless exploration and production E&P companies managed to make 15 new discoveries yielding a combined total of about 2075 barrels of oil per day bopd and 215 million cubic feet per day mmcfd of gas
