Toyota Pakistan Raises Prices of Imported Premium Models

Toyota Pakistan has revised the retail prices of its imported Land Cruiser, Prado, and Camry models following the implementation of additional Special Excise Duty (SED) under the Finance Act, 2026.

According to automotive industry reports, the price adjustments are a direct result of the enhanced SED introduced through the Federal Budget 2026, which significantly increased the tax burden on imported vehicles with larger engine capacities.

Under the revised taxation framework, imported vehicles equipped with engines ranging from 2,000cc to 3,000cc are now subject to an 86% Special Excise Duty, while imported vehicles exceeding 3,000cc are liable to a 92% Special Excise Duty.

Since all imported Toyota models marketed in Pakistan fall above the 2,000cc engine capacity threshold, the additional tax has been incorporated into their updated retail prices.

Among the revised models, the Land Cruiser LC300 Petrol recorded the highest price increase, with its retail price rising by Rs11 million, from Rs95 million to Rs106 million.

The Land Cruiser LC250 Diesel has also become more expensive, with its price increasing by Rs5.5 million to Rs68.5 million, compared to its previous price of Rs63 million.

Similarly, the LC250 Petrol seven-seater has witnessed a price increase of Rs3.5 million, taking its price to Rs63.5 million from Rs60 million, while the five-seater LC250 Petrol has increased by Rs6.5 million, reaching Rs61.5 million from Rs55 million.

Toyota’s imported Camry has also experienced a substantial price revision, becoming Rs10.8 million more expensive. The model is now priced at Rs43.8 million, compared with its earlier price of Rs33 million.

The revised pricing reflects the impact of the additional Special Excise Duty introduced under the Finance Act, 2026, which applies to all imported passenger vehicles with engine capacities exceeding 2,000cc.
