FBR Shuts Key Online Tax Services Aug 8-10

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced scheduled system maintenance from 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, during which several major online tax services will be temporarily unavailable.

According to the FBR notification, the services affected include IRIS, Digital Invoicing (DI), the Payment System, the Synchronised Withholding Administration and Payment System (SWAPS), and POS Registration.

During the maintenance period, taxpayers and other users will be unable to access these platforms or complete any related tax transactions.

The FBR has advised taxpayers and stakeholders to plan ahead by completing all urgent tax filings, payments, registrations, and other time-sensitive activities before the maintenance window begins.

The board said all impacted services will be restored immediately after the scheduled maintenance is successfully completed.

The FBR also expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and thanked taxpayers and stakeholders for their patience, cooperation, and understanding.
