PSX Public Offerings Reach 13 in 2026

KARACHI: The number of public offerings on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has climbed to 13 during 2026 after the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) approved the public offering of New Nazimabad Apartments REIT.

According to an SECP statement issued on Tuesday, the offering will consist of more than 44 million units, with the total issue size estimated between Rs793 million and Rs1.01 billion.

The units will be offered to investors within a price range of Rs18 to Rs23 per share.

Arif Habib Limited (AHL) described the offering as an opportunity for investors to gain exposure to one of Karachi’s well-known residential development projects.

SECP Chairman Dr Kabir Ahmed Siddiqui said the rising number of public offerings reflects growing interest among businesses in using Pakistan’s capital markets as a source of financing.

He stressed that a stable and efficient capital market is essential for providing companies with access to long-term funding. He added that the regulator is working to streamline the fundraising process by reducing both the time and expenses involved in raising capital.

The latest offering arrives as Pakistan’s IPO market continues to regain momentum after experiencing considerable fluctuations in previous years. Activity began recovering in 2024 and has maintained stronger momentum during 2026.

Market analysts expect the pipeline of new listings to remain active, with improved market valuations and strong liquidity encouraging more companies to seek financing through equity markets.

The PSX is currently expected to see as many as 16 initial public offerings during 2026, indicating continued interest in the country’s capital markets.
