Lahore Tax Bar Meets Chief Commissioner RTO-II

The Cabinet of the Lahore Tax Bar Association held a constructive meeting with the Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, RTO-II, Lahore, to discuss key matters concerning tax practitioners and taxpayers.

During the meeting, members highlighted various issues and practical challenges currently being faced by the association’s members, with particular focus on the newly established RTO-II, jurisdictional matters, pending cases and the need for improved taxpayer facilitation.

The delegation presented the concerns of the Tax Bar before the Chief Commissioner and requested timely action on pending and urgent matters. Emphasis was also placed on ensuring efficient facilitation for both tax practitioners and taxpayers dealing with the newly established regional tax office.

The Lahore Tax Bar Association reiterated its commitment to maintaining positive and effective institutional coordination with tax authorities. The association stressed that constructive engagement between the Tax Bar and the department is essential for resolving practical difficulties and improving the overall functioning of the tax system.

At the same time, the association reaffirmed its responsibility to protect the legitimate professional interests of its members while supporting the rights and facilitation of taxpayers.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss operational challenges and explore ways to improve coordination between the tax authorities and the professional tax community.

Rana Saqib Munir, Advocate High Court and President of the Lahore Tax Bar Association, led the association’s engagement and emphasised the importance of prompt resolution of issues affecting tax practitioners and taxpayers.
