Petrol Nears Rs350, Diesel Crosses Rs374

ISLAMABAD: The government has raised petrol and High Speed Diesel (HSD) prices by Rs2.84 and Rs2.28 per litre, respectively, taking the new rates to Rs349.00 and Rs374.31 per litre for September 4.

The revised petroleum prices were determined by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and announced by the Petroleum Division. The latest rates will remain applicable for one day only, on Friday, September 4.

Following the adjustment, petrol has become Rs2.84 per litre more expensive, reaching Rs349.00 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of HSD has increased by Rs2.28 per litre to Rs374.31.

The latest increase comes at a time when consumers are already facing elevated living expenses and transportation costs. Higher fuel prices are expected to place additional pressure on household budgets and businesses that rely heavily on petroleum products for transport and daily operations.

The rise in petrol prices will directly affect millions of motorists and private vehicle users.
