Petrol Rises To Rs367.75, HSD Crosses Rs390 Per Litre

ISLAMABAD: The government has raised the price of petrol by Rs3.40 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs6.72 per litre, with the new rates coming into effect from September 10, 2026.

According to the Petroleum Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government’s updated petroleum pricing mechanism.

Following the latest adjustment, the ex-depot price of HSD has climbed from Rs385.95 to Rs392.67 per litre, reflecting an increase of Rs6.72 per litre.

The price of petrol, officially known as Motor Spirit (MS), has also been increased from Rs364.35 to Rs367.75 per litre, marking a rise of Rs3.40 per litre.

The Petroleum Division confirmed that the revised fuel prices will remain applicable from September 10, 2026.

The latest hike follows several fuel price increases in recent days, placing additional financial pressure on consumers already dealing with rising transportation and household expenses.

With this latest revision, HSD has moved beyond the Rs390-per-litre threshold for the first time during the current series of increases, while petrol has edged closer to the Rs370-per-litre level.
