NADRA Vaccination Proof Made Mandatory For International Travel

The federal government has made NADRA-integrated vaccination certificates compulsory for passengers travelling abroad from Pakistan. Travellers will be required to present proof of vaccination against polio, meningitis, yellow fever and influenza before departure.

According to instructions issued by the Airport Health Department, passengers will not be permitted to leave the country without the required vaccination documentation, with the directive taking effect immediately.

Vaccination and online registration services are expected to become available at international departure lounges within the coming days. Passengers who need to receive their vaccines at the airport have been advised to reach the airport at least six hours before their scheduled flight.

Payments for vaccinations administered at airports will be collected through NADRA’s e-Sahulat system.

Special arrangements will apply to passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia for religious pilgrimages. The federal government’s civil dispensary has been designated as the sole authorised vaccination facility for these travellers.

Airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), have been instructed to inform travel agents about the new requirements in order to reduce inconvenience and avoid disruptions for Umrah pilgrims.

Under the new instructions, only vaccination certificates integrated with NADRA will be accepted for international travel.

A PIA spokesperson confirmed that passengers flying abroad would not be allowed to board without the required vaccination proof. Travellers were advised to secure their documentation before arriving at the airport.

Passengers heading to Saudi Arabia for Haj or Umrah must obtain their vaccinations from an authorised government facility. The spokesperson added that Umrah pilgrims are also required to obtain a digital vaccination card through NADRA before departure.
