Petrol Falls to Rs392.66, Diesel to Rs396.82 Per Litre

The federal government on Tuesday lowered petrol prices by Rs2.71 per litre to Rs392.66, while reducing high-speed diesel (HSD) by Re0.03 to Rs396.82 per litre. The revised rates took effect on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the Petroleum Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) adjusted the ex-depot prices of petroleum products in accordance with the government's fuel pricing mechanism.

The updated prices will remain applicable for October 14.

The Petroleum Division said the changes reflected movements in international markets, including fluctuations in Platts rates, premiums and incidental costs.

The latest adjustment comes after Monday's revision, when petrol prices were cut by Rs2.93 per litre to Rs395.37, while diesel prices rose by Re0.61 to Rs396.85 per litre, effective October 13.

Meanwhile, global oil prices dropped by nearly 2% on Tuesday as market participants evaluated attacks on Saudi Arabia and the possibility of additional Russian diesel supplies.

Brent crude futures fell 1.89% to $104.63 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude declined 2.02% to $91.85 per barrel by 1049 GMT.
