Pakistan is expected to see a major drop in petrol and diesel prices from March 16, 2025, due to declining global oil prices.
Sources suggest that Petrol may become Rs13-15 per litre cheaper and Diesel could decrease by Rs11 per litre
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will submit a price adjustment proposal to the prime minister for approval, after which the Ministry of Finance will issue the official notification.
Global oil prices are falling due to concerns over a US recession, tariff impacts, and OPEC+ increasing supply. Brent crude is now at $69.22 per barrel, while US crude dropped to $65.90 per barrel.
