In response to the findings and recommendations of the honorable FTO, Islamabad, as detailed in complaint No. 1345/ISB/IT/2023 dated 15.08.2023, the FBR has been directed to reevaluate the process of deregistering deceased individuals and create a dedicated SOP. This procedure aims to eliminate any system-based issues that obstruct the removal of NTN/Registration, even when legal orders have been entered in IRIS by the relevant IR authority.
As a result, a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Deregistration of NTN/STRN of Deceased Taxpayers has been formulated and is enclosed herewith for implementation
