ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has unveiled a stringent electronic monitoring regime for registered textile spinning units, deploying video analytics to scrutinize production starting November 1.
Under S.R.O. 1963 (I)/2025, the FBR invokes its authority via sub-section (1) of Section 50 and Section 40C of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, to enforce this surveillance mechanism, aligned with Rule 150ZQR of Chapter XIV-BA in the Sales Tax Rules, 2006.
The notification mandates electronic surveillance of textile spinning production to guarantee compliance and transparency in taxable activity reporting, effective November 1, 2025.
