LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) shattered records by amassing over Rs3.47 billion in its latest public auction at the Expo Centre on Tuesday, marking its highest-ever single auction haul.
The auction showcased 36 residential and commercial plots, alongside sites for a petrol pump, marquee, health and education facilities, public utilities, a sports complex, and tenancy rights for a cafeteria and salon.
The LDA noted this was its fourth auction of 2025, reflecting a dramatic leap in revenue performance.
Standout transactions included leasehold rights for the Peterville Pump site at Liberty Market, fetching Rs115.2 million, and a marquee site in Johar Town, securing Rs45 million annually. A health and education site in New Garden Town garnered Rs17.6 million per annum, while a similar site in Jubilee Town commanded Rs41 million per annum.
Additional highlights featured lease rights for a cafeteria at the Sports Complex Canal West near EME, sold for Rs4.8 million annually, and a ladies’ salon at the same complex for Rs1.32 million annually. A public utility site in Lake City Bellavista Housing Scheme fetched Rs88 million.
The day’s pinnacle was a commercial plot in Johar Town’s Finance and Trade Centre, clinching a staggering Rs1.296 billion, significantly driving the record-breaking total.
