ISLAMABAD: Consumers brace for yet another fuel price surge from November 1, 2025, as ex-refinery and ex-depot prices of key petroleum products are poised to climb amid global market volatility and exchange rate strain.

Industry sources forecast petrol (PMG)’s ex-refinery price jumping Rs1.48 per litre to Rs158.75, while high-speed diesel (HSD) rises Rs1.38 to Rs174.40. Kerosene oil (Kero) faces the steepest spike of Rs2.33 to Rs155.64, and light diesel oil (LDO) edges up Rs0.49 to Rs141.44.

At consumer level, ex-depot petrol may hit Rs264.50 (+Rs1.48), HSD Rs276.48 (+Rs1.38), kerosene Rs184.05 (+Rs2.34), and LDO Rs163.25 (+Rs0.49).

The adjustment will further strain household and transport budgets, particularly with winter demand for diesel and kerosene surging. Sources warn that persistent fuel price hikes will fuel inflation and transport fare increases, intensifying public financial pressure.

If enacted, this marks the second consecutive fortnightly hike, underscoring international crude volatility and the rupee’s dollar weakness.
