ISLAMABAD: The government has unleashed a fresh petroleum price hike for the fortnight starting November 1, 2025, endorsing Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) recommendations and ministerial consultations.
A Thursday night Finance Division statement confirmed petrol (MS) soaring Rs2.43 per litre to Rs265.45 from Rs263.02, while high-speed diesel (HSD) climbs Rs3.02 to Rs278.44 from Rs275.42.
The revised rates hold for two weeks, mirroring global oil surges and exchange rate volatility, per OGRA and departmental data.
The prior review had slashed petrol by Rs5.66 to Rs268.68 and diesel by Rs1.39 to Rs275.41, but current market pressures dictate this upward thrust.
The Finance Division affirmed the pricing stabilizes supply amid international turbulence.
