Customs Seize 42,200 Litres Smuggled Diesel in Karachi

KARACHI: The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement has obliterated a massive smuggling ring, confiscating 42,200+ litres of Iranian diesel worth Rs12+ million from hidden tanks along the Northern Bypass in a pre-dawn raid on Friday.

Customs squads, guided by ironclad intelligence, swooped under senior command, unearthing clandestine storage and halting contraband flow. The seized fuel is now locked in the Caspian State Warehouse, Korangi, per FBR confirmation.

FBR vowed relentless war on fuel smuggling, which bleeds national revenue and crushes legitimate trade. Zero tolerance fuels nationwide crackdowns.

Last month, the Marine Enforcement Unit intercepted three launches with 132,564 litres HSD (Rs78+ million) — the largest single diesel bust to date.
