CIRCULAR NO. 04/2005 (A)
Following instructions are issued implementation of the Federal Budget to be announced on 06th June 2005.
1. The Additional Collectors, Deputy Collectors, Assistant Collectors, C.A.O. Auditors and Principal Appraisers are requested to attend the meeting in Conference room, 4th floor at the time of announcement of the Federal Budget for the year 2005-the2006.
2. The Assistant Collector of Imports shall verify that last token number and Machine Number issued on 15.06.2004 before 12:00 midnight. Thereafter it shall be ensured through the computer system that no further token number is issued after above referred DG, as normal work shall resume on the next working day. Furthermore, the Superintendent (Import Section) and Project Manager (CSC) shall sign on the last used page / last line of the main register for issuance of receipt in such a way that non entry could be made thereafter. Beside, this record shall have to be presented to ACA (Import / CSC) for verification.
3.All GDs shall be received at the Customs Service Centre through the receiving counter. However, the same shall be delivered on the next working day.
4. No assessment shall be made on a GD manifested on Budget Day. Even Ex-bond GDs presented on 06th June 2005, shall not be processed on the Budget Day. No sale shall be made from the Duty Free shop, City Complex, Karachi on 06-06- 2005.
5. The Additional Collectors, Deputy Collectors, Assistant Collectors, C.A.O. Auditors and Principal Appraisers shall attend a meeting Budget clarification immediately after announcement of the Budget in the Chamber of Collector (Appraisement).
6. By the order of Collector of Customs (Appraisement).
