CIRCULAR NO. 11/2005 - (A)
It is for the information of all concerned that shipping agents are not required to file their GD / import General Manifest / supplementary manifest / amendments of manifest in Appraisement Collectorate for the vessel arriving at KICT. All such manifests shall be filed with PACCS which will electronically transmit the same to relevant quarters.
2. The vessel operating agent is not required to present the following documents to present the following documents to senior preventive officer of the preventive Collectorate:-
a. Ships General Declaration
b. Crew List
c. Last Port Clearance Certificate
d. Crew Affect List
e. Bonded Stores Declaration
f. Provisions Declaration.
PACCS boarding and Rummaging Officer will directly collect (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f), as given above from the master of the vessel.
3. The vessel operating agent is no required to obtain port clearance from the superintendent of Custom Exports (port Clearance shall be through PACCS on on-line).
4. All procedures as listed above shall be as provided in SRO. 210(l)/2QQ5.
5. All fines and penalties as incurred after July 01, 2005 will be the legal liability of the Shipping Agent.
6. This circular will be effective from 01 -07-2005.
