SUB: 24X7 WORKING BY CUSTOMS AT ALL THE PORTS.
It has been reported that in situations where the manifested GDs are not processed by the Appraisers to whom it is marked by the System due to end of shift time, the Appraiser/official of the next shift does not process the same GD on the pretext that GD was not marked to him. This state of affairs in defeating the purpose of clearance of cargo on 24X7 basis.
2. All Assistant/ Deputy Collectors (night shifts) of this Collectorate have already been provided the facility to change the Appraiser name in the system through their user IDs. The night shift incharge is therefore, advised to ensure the prudent use of the aforesaid facility and furnish a report to the undersigned in respect thereof on the following format at the end of each night shift.
