SUB:  STREAMLINING EXAMINATION OF IMPORT/ EXPORT BAGGAGE TO RISKY DESTINATIONS

With a view to streamline the imports through baggage and to mitigate possibilities of foul play, it has been decided that henceforth all consignments of baggage arriving from risky destinations particularly from UAE, Hong Kong and Singapore shall be subjected to 100% examinations. The orders however will not be applicable to the baggage of diplomats/privileged persons, etc, provided exemption under the rules.
