SUB: ACCEPTANCE OF POST DATED CHEQUES AFTER ENDORSEMENT AS "GOODS FOR PAYMENT" BY THE CONCERNED BANKS.

During the recent Collectors' Conference held on 31.01.2008 in Islamabad, it as seen decided that only those post dated Cheques shall be accepted which are endorsed "Good for Payment". Minutes of the said meeting received vide Board's letter C.No.1(21)S.VCA/2006 dated 14.02.2008 have already been circulated vide Serial.No.67/2008-Policy dated 21.02.2008.

2. All the Groups / Sections of Appraisement Collectorate are requested to ensure that all the post dated Cheques sent to Bank Guarantee Cell are endorsed by the concerned banks as "Good for Payment", otherwise the Bank Guarantee Cell shall not accept the post dated Cheques which are not endorsed as mentioned above.
