OFFICE ORDER NO. 64/2010-(PaCCS)

SUB:     TRANSITION OF THE COLLECTORATE TO A NEW SYSTEM INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING

            In view of transition of the Collectorate to a new system the following instructions are hereby issued for quick disposal of work in progress and secure custody of all the vital record;

1. Deputy/Assistant Collectors (Terminals KICT, PICT & QICT)

-  Swift disposal of all the pending and new case selected for examination of import and exports cargo and to ensue presence of staff all the ports round the clock.     

- Maintenance of hard copies of all the examination reports in addition to feeding of data in the system

-To maintain liaison with terminal operators to ensure examination of all the export cargo passing in on 27th and to be shipped on the same day.

- To maintain liaison with drug enforcement cell for expeditious disposal of export cargo.

2. Deputy/Assistant Collectors (Assessment Gr-I to IV)

- To retrieve all the vital information pertaining to their groups and the goods declaration in process with AOs and PAs

 -Disposal of all the cases in 2nd review

- To ensure their presence in the assessment hall on 27.5.2010 to help assessing officers to take immediate decisions without referring the cases for review

-To secure in the hand/soft form all the ONOs and contraventions pertaining to their groups

-To ensure safe-custody of all the files

3. Deputy/Assistant Collector (Adjudication)

 - To ensure disposal of all the cases pending for adjudication and to maintain record of all the ONOs issued

4. Deputy/Assistant Collectors (Securities)

- To ensure physical custody of all pending securities

5. Principal Appraiser (Assessment Hall)

- To ensure immediate disposal of all the pending and new cases marked for 1st review

- Decision of contravention cases immediately and maintenance of hard copies

2.         This issues with the approval of competent authority for strict compliance of all concerned. Any lapse in this regard will be viewed seriously.
