SUB:            Renewal of Licenses of Customs Agents under Chapter-VIII of the Customs Rules, 2001.

          I am directed to refer to the above citied subject and to say that in consequence of the recommendations of Collector, Model Customs Collectorate (Appraisement), Karachi on the subject matter, necessary changes are being made in the relevant rules whereby six days mandatory Customs Agent course for renewal of licenses shall be required to attended by the concerned Customs Agent once in every two years without the requirement of written test at the end of the said course. The said notification is expected to be issued shortly after its necessary vetting by the Law & Justice Division.

2.         The Collectorate are, therefore, advised to decide the pending cases of renewal of licenses of Customs Agents in accordance with the above.
