Standing Order No. 04/2014(AW)

SUB:         Standard operating procedure (sop) for clearance of vehicles in WeBOC system

Standing Order No.02/2014(AW) dated 09.09.2014 is amended to the following extent with immediate effect and till further orders:-

In heading C, after sub-serial (j), following sub-serial: shall be added

“(k)       Notwithstanding the above instructions, in order to curtail the examination time for the vehicles where valuation ruling is/are available the Examining Official shall report the following only:

i)         Make:

ii)        Model:

iii)       Year of manufacture:

iv)       Chassis Code and Number:

v)       Chassis Type:

vi)       Engine Capacity:

vii)       Picture of Chassis / VIN number (Other pictures shall also be uploaded as mentioned at sub-serial (e) of heading 'C’):

viii)      The other particulars of the vehicle would be verified by the Assessment Group through specialized software available with it:

ix)        In case of 'Vans’, seating capacity shall be reported. Where there is a jump seat in the vehicle that will accordingly be treated and reported as one seat:”
