Subject:            AUTOMATION OF FORM-I

 Kindly refer to the Directorate’s letter of even number dated 19.02.2016 on the subject noted above.

02.       As conveyed in its earlier letter, development of Form ‘I’ is in its final stages. The impact of the subject development would be that issuance of Form ‘I’ through WeBOC system shall become mandatory for all imports, whether affected through WeBOC or One Customs. Hence, the importers operating in One Customs regime are also required to have their ‘I’ Forms issued electronically through WeBOC system.

03.       In view of above, it is therefore, advised that all such traders, who file import GDs in the One Customs system, may be directed to get their WeBOC user IDs immediately.
