CIRCULAR

Sub:  ISSUANCE OF CUSTOMS PERMIT TO EMPLOYEES OF CUSTOMS AGENTS.

       The Customs Agents falling under the jurisdiction of this Collectorate were advised through circulars issued vide C.No. APPG/LA/5-36/2004 dated 12.09.2017 & dated 07.10.2017 to apply to the Licensing Authority for grant of Customs permits for the licensees and their employees for conducting business at the Customs House as required under Chapter VIII of Customs Rules, 2001 notified vide SRO 450(I)/2001 dated 18-06-2001. However, it has been observed that few Customs Agents have approached the Licensing Authority for issuance of Customs Permits. The Customs Agents are once again advised to apply to the Licensing Authority immediately for the issuance of Customs Permits for licensees as well as for their workers within 15 days of issuance of this circular. 

3.         This issues with the approval of the Licensing Authority.
