CIRCULAR 

SUB:-   SUBMISSION OF INVOICES DULY ATTESTED BY PAKISTAN TEA ASSOSIATION.                  

            Please refer to the Circular 02/2017 dated 03-05-2017 regarding the subject issue (Annex-A)

2.         During the random scrutiny of GDs of import clearances of “Tea” falling under HS Code 09.02, it has been observed that most of the importers are not uploading the invoices duly attested by Pakistan Tea Association as prescribed vide Circular dated 03-05-2017 issued by the office of the Chief Collector of Customs (Appraisement)-South, Custom House, Karachi. This act of the importers of tea tantamount to violation of Section 79(1) a & b of the Customs Act, 1969.

3.         It is, therefore, once again circulated for the information of all concerned that non-uploading of invoice duly attested by Pakistan Tea Association at the time of filing of GD may result in initiation of contravention proceedings which may attract penal action under the Customs Act, 1969.
