Sub: ACCEPTANCE OF SECURITIES IN BANK GURANTEE CELL 

           It has been observed that securities received in the Bank Guarantee Cell against differential/disputed amount of duty and taxes or required under any notification are not properly scrutinized in the Bank Guarantee Cell before acceptance. Moreover, the securities are not got revalidated before their expiry. As a result thereof legal complications arise at the time of their encashment.

2.       In view of the above situation, it is hereby directed that henceforth the securities shall be scrutinized properly and accepted by the Principal Appraiser Bank Guarantee Cell himself under his signature. He shall be responsible for accepting any inappropriate / not properly worded guarantee/security or its expiry revalidation.
