SUB:               UPLOADING OF FTA CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN IN WEBOC PROCEDURE REGARDING

Presently for granting the benefit of FTAs, original Certificates of origin are obtained from traders by the Assessing Officers of the Collectorate through Call Documents in each Goods Declaration (GD) which increases the Customs processing time. Moreover, the submission of Certificate of Origin can only be made at FTA Cell after filling of Goods Declaration. To facilitate the traders, the process of submission of FTA Certificate of Origin is henceforth being streamlined as under:-

i.          The importer/clearing agent can deposit the original FTA certificate at the FTA cell of the Collectorate any time before or after filling of Goods Declaration (GD). After necessary verification as per procedure, the FTA Cell shall upload the same in WeBOC System has been developed in this regard.

            ii.        The assessing officer shall be able to view the verified Certificate of Origin uploaded by FTA Cell in attached documents.

2.         In case the Certificate of Origin is not found attached with GD by Assessing Officer (Group), he may initiate a request for submission of Certificate of Origin through Call Documents.
