SUB: Request for information for SMEs Portal
Dear Sir/Madam,
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is making efforts to facilitate SMEs’ access to finance. In this respect, SBP has undertaken various initiatives, which include creation of enabling regulatory framework, market development initiatives, awareness creation and capacity building/training programs for banks and introduction of SME financing targets, etc.
SBP has envisioned to develop a portal of SMEs that captures and maintains information on various business aspects of SMEs operating in the country. Besides, the key features of SME specific banking products will also be made available on the SME portal. It will prove to be very beneficial for both the banks and the business entities. The portal will facilitate banks in Identifying and targeting the potential customers for offering their financing products. The portal will also facilitate SMEs to apply for financing from the list of banks whose contact details will be made available on the SME portal.
Keeping in view the above, you are requested to share information of the businesses/enterprises, association affiliated with your chamber as per attached format. We look forward to receive the desired information by May 15, 2019 via mail or email at SMEFD@sbp.org.pk.
