Sub:   FACILITY OF ONLINE HEARING AT 2 REVIEW STAGE

OFFICE ORDER NO.12/2022

             In order to facilitate the trade, the Collectorate had introduced facility of online hearing at review stage in the month of November, 2021. All the stakeholders were requested to avail the facility of online hearing. However, it has been observed that importers and clearing agents are not availing this facility and still prefer to appear physically before the concerned officers. This practice has rendered the facility of online heating as in-effective.

2.         In view of above, it is directed that all 2 Review hearings shall be held through the facility of online hearing and no physical hearing shall be allowed by Deputy Collector/ Assistant Collector (Groups) with effect from 01-03-2022. In case, any clearing agent / importer intend to appear for physical hearing before any Deputy Collector/Assistant Collector (Group), they shall be required to get written approval from the concerned Additional Collector of that Group. The concerned Deputy Collector/Assistant Collector (Group) shall maintain a record of such approvals and submit same to concerned Additional Collector on weekly basis.
