STANDING ORDER NO. 10/1988-(Preventive). 

sUB:  DESTATIONS / SEIZURE OF UNCLAIMED BAGGAGE AT THE AIR PORT TERMINALS:

Whenever any unclaimed baggage is seized or detached at the air port terminals, the seizing / detaining Officer shall:--

1)    write the any number, if any, make the receipt  and give the description of the package and the said receipt, shall also be got signed by the representative of the concerned airline, if available.

2)    Call a representative of the concerned airline to sign the said detention Receipt and a copy of the said receipt shall be handed over to the said airline representative. The airline representative shall write his name and designation below his signature on the receipt; and

2. In case where the climate passenger had landed at Karachi Airport on the same flight on which any of the mishandled baggage/Goods had also landed. The airline shall indicate this aspect clearly on the delivery order issued by them to the passenger. Such delivery order along with the relevant P.I and the passenger’s passport and ticket shall be produced before the examination and clearance of such mishandled packages. The Assistant Collector shall satisfy himself about the reasons how the baggage got mishandled when the passenger and baggage had landed from the same flight. Thereafter, the Assistant Collector shall pass further necessary orders.
