PUBLICE NOTICE NO.2/1984 (PREVENTIVE) 

The Department of Valuation has observed certain lapses observing the quality of valuation checks being conducted by them. In connection with their observations it is requested that the invoices being furnished by the importers and exporters should not be sketchy and should contain details of goods terms of grades, sorts, quality and quantity etc. as these details are very necessary for the proper scrutiny of values declared for ascertaining the normal price. It is expected from importers, exporters and their agents to ensure that the invoice are adequately detailed the concerned staff at Airfreight unit and M.l. Yard should not entertain documents which do not meet this requirement.
