STANDING ORDER NO. 4/1984 (Preventive) 

SUB:  Consolidation cargo-procedure regarding 

It is notified for the information of all concerned that following procedure will be observed by the Cargo Agents in respect of Consolidation of Air Cargo: --

a)    The cargo agent will prepare a master airway bill for the consolidated cargo intended to be stored in the Air Freight unit, Karachi Airport and likewise the baggage will be consolidated separately.

b)    The cargo agents or the carriers will submit along with the manifest, copies of the House Airway bills in triplicate. They shall also prepare statement in triplicate showing I.G.M. Index No. Master Airway bill number, House Airway bill Sub-index No, weight and names of individual importers.

c)    The cargo agents or the carriers will consolidated the consignments which are destined for Karachi and to be cleared at Karachi as no Local transshipments in respect of consolidated cargo be allowed at any stage.

d)    The carrier air line will issue a consolidate Delivery order in the name of cargo agents and on the basis of matter  delivery order the cargo Agents will issue their own delivery order in the name of individual importers along with house Airway Bill.

e)    At the time of storage of consolidated cargo by the carrier Airline a representative of the cargo agents shall be present and ensure that the consolidated cargo has been delivered property and in sound condition to the concerned authorities.

f)     After lodgment of consolidated cargo in Air freight unit and in unaccompanied Baggage section the Cargo agent will submit an amendment application of main index to Sub-index such as (1A-1B-1C- 1D) and onward.

The above procedure will be observed by all cargo agents and any breach thereof would be dealt with seriously and may result a dis-continuation of the consolidation facilities extended for handling the consolidated cargo.
