PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 17/1991 (APPRAISEMENT)

SUB:        EXCLUSION OF CIGRATTES FROM PAK AFGHAN TRANSIT TRADE.

In pursuance of Central Board of Revenue's letter C.No.3 (11) L&P/83 dated 12th September 1991 all concerned are informed that henceforth no import of cigarettes in transit to Afghanistan shall be allowed under cigarettes for which L/C's have been opened on or before 12th September 1991 and shipment arrived at Karachi Port or before 30th November 1991.

1.    Consignments, which are not covered by the aforesaid protection, shall be considered Imports contravening provisions of section 156(1) and (64) of the Customs Act, 1969 and shall be liable to confiscation.
