PUBLIC NOTICE NO: 17/1995 (APPRAISEMENT)
SUB: PSI SCHEME - IMPLEMENTATION THEREOF.
The following further amendments are ordered to be made' Public Notice No.12/95, dated 20-02-1995.
1. The clause (i) shall be substituted with the following namely:-
i) In case of perishable/duty free goods and the raw materials imported by industrial consumers. If the concerned PSI company fails to issue CRF within 48 hours after the arrival of goods and the importer documentarily proves that the goods have been satisfactorily inspected by the PSI company. The consignment may be released provisionally, at the highest available evidence/advice of value, against an undertaking (Format Annexure-A) after proper examination through the Assistant/Deputy Collector (Sheds).”
2. In clause (iii) in the first line thereof after the words “B/E” the following shall be inserted namely:
“Pertaining to the IGMs”.
3. In clause (iii) in the last line thereof after the word “available” the following shall be inserted namely:
“for IGMs filed”
4. In clause (iv), in the last line thereof after the words “subject to” the following shall be substituted namely;Proper examination through the Assistant/Deputy Collector (Sheds)”.
5. After clause(v), the following new clause (vi) shall be inserted, namely;
(vi) In case of consignments, which were otherwise subject to PSI, but have arrived without PSI, the Bs/E shall be first scrutinized by the Group with regard to valuation. If the previous evidence of higher CRFs or higher advices/invoices is available, the Group shall record that fact on reverse of the Bs/E find forward the same to Deputy Collector (PSI Control Office) who will decide, on case basis, whether or not the ease will be referred to the PSI Company for destination inspection. However, all such consignments whether referred to the PSI company or not, will be subject to adjudication for violation of the provisions of SRO 1108(l)/94 dated 14.11.1994.
