PUBLIC NOTICE NO: 33/1986-A

            In order to eliminate chanced of delay in apparition of bills of entry relating to the import of dangerous cargo, the following procedure is prescribed:--

2.         As the dangerous cargo is always shown in a separate sheet of IGM, the manifest Clark should, while manifesting the bills of entry, endorse the following stamp on the bills of entry to guide the appraising Officers concerned, recording the dangerous cargo of the product namely:-

“DANGEROUS CARGO LIST”

3.         The stamp will eruction the Appraising Officer we require and check the Dangerous Petroleum Licensed which is probabally endorsed with the bill of entry. In case it is not done by the importer, when the bill of entry requiring D.P.L. will be returned without completion. 

4.         A comprehensive list of Dangerous Cargo rebuluring a D.P.L. Certificate for being release (from Customs) as mentioned in the Appraising Manual and the endorsed chemical Delivery is given at “Annexure-A”
