PUBLIC NOTICE NO.9/1998-(APPRAISEMENT)

SUB:  CLASSIFICATION OF CGA COLOUR MONITORS.

In Public Notice No. 12/97-A dated: 04:09:97, Colour Monitors "Kortex" Board, Model KT-20015 (20Size), and KT-XX01 (25" & — 33" sizes) manufactured by M/S. Sejo Corporation. South Korea were classified under PCT sub-heading 8528.1000 as video monitors.

As per Board directive contained in its letter C. No. dated 10.12.98, the classification of the subject colour Monitors was re-examined by the PCT Committee of this Collectorate. The PCT Committee after scrutiny of the catalogue/literature decided that the subject monitors were correctly classifiable under PCT heading 84.71 instead of 8528.1000 as previously notified through Public Notice No.12/97(A) dated -09.97. The Board vide its letter C. No.       dated:_____/05.1998 has proved the classification of the subject monitors under PCT heading No.84.71.

Therefore, Public Notice No.12/97(A) dated 04.09.97 stands amended accordingly.
