PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 02/1999 (EXPORTS)

It has been observed that the exporters of yarn, fabric/made-ups do not generally declare the count, denier, construction and composition of the yarn on the bill of export. In order to ensure transparency in the process of sanctioning of duty drawback/refunds and to collect accurate data of exports it is notified for the information of all concerned that henceforth the exporters of yarn, fabric/made-ups shall be required to declare on the bills of export and commercial invoices the count, denier, construction and composition of the yarn or fabric/made-ups under export. In case of any suspicion the samples of consignments shall be tested through laboratory to confirm the veracity of the declaration on the export documents.

This Public Notice shall take effect from 3.5.1999.
