PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 14/2000 - (APPRAISEMENT)

As per provision of section 14 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 all the persons providing services as Custom Agents are liable to registration. All the Custom Houses are hereby advised to get themselves registered under the Sales Tax Act, 1990 by 8.9.2000. It may be noted that after 8.9.2000 no documents including a bill of entry, either for home consumption or for in-bonding/ex-bonding, a Baggage Declaration, a Bill of Exports, etc., will be entertained in respect of un-registered Customs Agents.

2.    The facilitate registration of Sales Tax, a special counter has been established at the reception of Custom House, Karachi where registration application are available there for there for the said purpose.

3.      This issues with the concurrence of Collector of Customs (Preventive).
